The BendPak MDS-6EXT mid-rise scissor lift is well-suited for electric vehicle (EV) service. With a rated load capacity of 6,000 pounds, it features far-reaching lift platforms to better accommodate EV lifting points that are often on the extreme edges of the vehicle frame.
For maximum versatility, two models are available that allow the lift to be either mounted on the surface or recessed in the floor (sub-surface installation). Because the lifting platforms are independent and not joined with steel bolster beams, they also can be installed effectively as a pit solution, with a platform on either side of the pit, allowing quick-lube facilities to broaden their range of services.
The MDS-6EXT features a powerful four-cylinder hydraulic design that provides precise, equalized lifting and delivers rapid rise and descent speeds: from its lowered height to a full rise of over 36 inches in just under 45 seconds. Its open-center design allows unimpeded undercarriage access making it a versatile lift for a wide range of service and maintenance tasks. An easy-to-use console features highly visible, ergonomic push-button controls, while configurable approach ramps accommodate low- slung vehicles and a wide variety of wheelbase configurations.
The MDS-6EXT has three locking positions to offer a choice of height options depending on the job. The vehicle can be lifted a few inches for brake service or to full height for underbody work.
