Continental Receives Toyota Contribution Award

March 17, 2014—Toyota Motor Corporation recently recognized automotive supplier Continental with the “Regional Contribution Award” for 2014.

The award was presented in late February during the Toyota Global Suppliers Convention in Nagoya, Japan.

Continental was the only supplier in North America to win the award.

Continental was recognized for its development of the Blind Spot Detection system and advanced product execution.

"As one of the world's leading automotive suppliers, we are proud to receive this prestigious award and honored to be a part of Toyota's team," said Samir Salman, CEO for Continental North America. "Continental enjoys a long-standing partnership with Toyota, sharing the same values of quality and commitment to the end customer."

Continental also received Toyota’s Technology & Development Award 2012 for its rear cross traffic alert system.
