July 5, 2019—Volkswagen Group of America based in Chattanooga, Tenn. has issued a recall on certain 2012 to 2020 Volkswagen Passats and 2018 to 2019 Atlas vehicles, reports KDNL St. Louis.

VW says the blocking cap that disables the adjustment of the headlights' horizontal aim may not have been installed. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says on its website, "As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, amps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.'"

The recall is expected to begin on July 10.
