Feb. 17, 2020—Second Chances Garage is celebrating its 10th year helping the community in Frederick, Md., this week.

The event's special guest is Charles "The Humble Mechanic" from Raleigh, N.C., who has donated his car to Second Chances Garage. He arrives on Monday to get the car road-ready, working alongside Second Chances Garage's two Youth Apprentices from the Frederick County Career and Technology Center. The Humble Mechanic and the two apprentices will be working live at the open house tomorrow, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m.

After the open house, a meet and greet with the Humble Mechanic will take place from 5-7 p.m. at Olde Mother Brewery, which is located at 526 N Market St., Frederick, MD 21701.

On Thursday, Feb. 20, the fixed-up vehicle will be presented to a single mom in partnership with the Frederick County Housing Authority and Thrive USA.

Since 2010, Second Chances Garage has provided transportation and repair solutions to low-income individuals and families.
