Ford Recalls 450K F-150 Trucks for Wiper Failure

Faulty windshield wiper motors are to blame for the recall, which impacts F-150 models from 2021 and 2022. 

Nov. 21, 2022—Ford is recalling over 450,000 F-150 pickup trucks, according to Consumer Reports

The recall pertains to a windshield wiper failure and impacts F-150 pickup trucks from the 2021 and 2022 model years. This recall is actually an expansion of an existing recall for over 157,000 F-150 models from 2021. 

The problem stems from faulty windshield wiper motors, and can cause drivers to be unable to to see out the windshield during inclement weather. "Ford told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that, as of October 13, 2022, it is aware of 1,378 warranty reports globally, but no related crashes or injuries," according to Consumer Reports.
