GM Launches EV Live

July 28, 2022

EV Live is a website that gives tours of GM models and answers EV-related questions from potential customers.

July 28, 2022—General Motors has launched a new website for answering electric vehicle-related questions.

According to Kelley Blue Book, EV Live allows a free platform for individuals to take a live tour of a GM EV model. This tour includes the guidance of a specialist through the utilization of a one-way camera. This means that the individual can see the specialist, but the specialist cannot see the individual.

Questions can be proposed directly through the phone or computer, or there is a chat box that individuals can use to type.

The goal is to host a one-on-one question and answer virtual environment that doesn't focus on selling a car. Kelley Blue Book reported in the article that GM has plans to sell a mostly electric vehicle lineup by 2035, so this EV Live effort could also help to inform future customers on the automaker's electric opportunities.
