Sun Auto Completes Biggest Acquisition to Date

The company added 70 locations in one acquisition, bringing its total portfolio to over 350 locations. 


Nov. 30, 2021—Sun Auto Tire and Service has acquired Plaza Tire Service, which operates 70 locations in the midwest. 

According to a press release, it is Sun Auto’s largest addition to date. The company now has 350 locations in its portfolio. The Plaza Tire Service name will not change, Sun Auto said. Existing stores as well as new locations will be known as Plaza Tire Service.

The deal is expected to close on Dec. 31, 2021

As part of the deal to purchase Plaza Tire Service, its owners Mark Rhodes and Scott Rhodes have invested substantially in Sun Auto Tire & Service, the company said.
