Scholarship Opportunities for Tech Students to be Discussed in ASE Webinar
The ASE Education Foundation is holding a webinar on the different scholarship opportunities available for automotive students, according to a recent press release.
The free Jan. 24 webinar titled “An Industry Discussion on Scholarships” invites instructors, employers, parents, and any student enrolled in an ASE-accredited program to learn more about the organizations offering scholarships, grants, and loan forgiveness to students every year.
Representatives with the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF), Garage Gurus, Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, Noregon Systems, Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), Steve Johnson Racing, and the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) Scholarship Central will speak about the funding opportunities they offer for students each year–of which many go unclaimed.
Manager of Faulkner Collison Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, April Lausch, will provide further insight for employers, having two of her own entry-level employees apply for and receive scholarships last year. Lausch will discuss why it’s important to encourage young people and those entering the industry to be made aware of the opportunities that exist for them.
The ASE Education Foundation urges anyone interested to not only attend the webinar but also to share the link with any tech students they know.
