Texas State Technical College's Fort Bend County campus recently cut the ribbon on a new career center for automotive repair technicians in Rosenberg, Texas, reports Covering Katy News.

The new Transportation Technologies Center offers programs in automotive, automotive collision and management, and diesel equipment. The automotive program is focused on internal maintenance on vehicles ranging from sedans to large trucks, and offers associate degrees and certificates.

On Nov. 21, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the $35 million facility, which was funded by the Texas Legislature in 2021. Bryan Bowling, provost of TSTC's Fort Bend County campus, cut the ribbon in front of an audience that included local government officials, TSTC leadership and faculty, representatives from The TSTC Foundation, the George Foundation and the Henderson-Wessendorff Foundation, and local industry partners.

“Many of us were here for the groundbreaking when it (TSTC) was nothing more than a dream,” said Bowling. “Now we stand among that dream. Isn't she beautiful?”
