A recent report from WTAJ News shows how an auto repair shop in Altoona, Pennsylvania, went beyond a toy donation drive and offered kids a chance to meet the man behind the magic himself: Santa Claus.

For 11 years now, KarPro Tire & Auto Center’s Kids 4 Christmas program has accepted donations from businesses and community members to provide presents for families in need.

This year, the shop garnered approximately $15,000 in donations. It culminated on Dec. 5, when families came by to pick up their gifts and got to meet Santa Claus at the shop. Photos from WTAJ show a festive setup behind Santa as kids gather around to meet him and take photos.

“The whole idea is just to make a better Christmas for these kids and the families,” KarPro owner Ron Perretta said. “This is probably one of the best parts, knowing that they’re coming to get their gifts and what’s going to go on Christmas morning. So that’s always fun to know.”
