Hyundai to Add Apple In-Car Infotainment

    April 16, 2014—Hyundai on Wednesday announced that it will add Apple CarPlay functionality to the 2015 Sonata.

    Hyundai is one of the first volume manufacturers to bring CarPlay to market.

    Apple unveiled its CarPlay mobile operating system earlier this year.

    The system will be available on 2015 Sonatas equipped with navigation later in the 2015 model year.

    Hyundai said the system will allow drivers to make calls, use Maps, listen to music and access messages through voice commands.
