Epicor Donates $100K to Northwood University
Epicor has donated $100,000 to Northwood University to fund the construction of a new lab for learning about automotive aftermarket software, according to a press release.
“The classes will be designed so students are educated in the use of Epicor Auto Product capabilities as they graduate and go into the marketplace, or in some cases, interview for employment at Epicor,” Academic Vice President and Provost for Northwood University Dr. Kristin Stehouwer stated.
According to Dr. Stehouwer, there will be an upper-level and a lower-level course in the lab with an Epicor Lab Semester. Coursework in the lab will complement the rest of the students’ curriculum.
“Due to the amazing generosity of Epicor, Northwood students will experience industry-specific technology in the classroom,” said Dr. Thomas Litzinger, executive director of the University of the Aftermarket. “Epicor will provide hands-on experience for our students and share how their platforms are integrated into our industry.”
