Utah Shop Aids Typhoon Victims

Nov. 25, 2013

Nov. 25, 2013—Dave’s Auto Center of Centerville, Utah, donated proceeds from Saturday’s sales to directly benefit victims of the recent typhoons in the Philippines.

Dave’s provided parts at wholesale prices and requested a minimum $50 per hour labor “donation.” Instead of paying for the work performed, customers wrote checks directly to either The Red Cross or the LDS Humanitarian fund. One hundred percent of the tax-deductible donations will go to providing food, water and relief to families in the Philippines, the shop said on its website.
