A growing topic in not only auto repair, but many other sectors, is the emergence of AI tools. Within our industry, there are specific uses for AI that can help streamline operations—though every business has different needs.

Top provide a better understanding of what sort of AI tools are on the market, we reached out to the companies behind four different AI tools currently being marketed to the auto repair field for an inside look at what’s being offered and how shops are using this technology to their advantage.

TireBuddy

Company and Product Basics

  • Company name: Anyline
  • Product name: TireBuddy
  • Website: anyline.com
  • Year founded: 2013
  • Is the product live in repair shops? Yes
  • Number of shops currently using it: TireBuddy is currently being piloted with multiple automotive service providers and tire retailers, with early deployments expanding across North America and Europe.

About Your Product

What specific shop problem does this product solve, and which KPI does it most impact?

TireBuddy addresses a common challenge in service bays: reliably measuring and documenting tire tread depth during vehicle inspections. In many shops, technicians still rely on manual gauges and handwritten notes, which can lead to inconsistent measurements and incomplete documentation.

TireBuddy allows technicians to capture tire measurements using a smartphone camera. The system analyzes the tire and records the tread depth digitally, producing a visual report that can be shared with service advisors and customers.

The biggest impact is on inspection consistency and customer trust, which ultimately influences close rate and average repair order. When customers can clearly see the condition of their tires through visual documentation, service recommendations are easier to understand and evaluate.

What measurable results are current shops seeing?

In early deployments, shops are seeing more consistent documentation of tire inspections across vehicles and technicians. Because measurements are captured digitally, service advisors have reliable records they can reference during customer conversations.

Another result is more effective service discussions. Advisors can show customers an image of their tire together with the measured tread depth and safety thresholds, which helps customers better understand the condition of their tires and the reasoning behind a recommended replacement.

Overall, shops are identifying more legitimate tire service opportunities while creating a more transparent and standardized inspection process.

How does the AI function within the product?

TireBuddy uses machine learning to analyze images and videos of tires captured with a smartphone. Based on visual data alone the AI can calculate the depth of grooves in tire tread down to the nearest 0.1mm.

The system has been trained on a large dataset of tire images, allowing it to recognize a wide range of tread patterns, lighting conditions, and viewing angles commonly found in real shop environments.

After the analysis is completed, the system converts the visual information into a structured tread depth measurement that can be recorded digitally and incorporated into the shop’s inspection documentation.

What systems does it integrate with, and what does onboarding require?

TireBuddy is designed to fit into existing shop workflows rather than requiring shops to change how they operate. The solution can integrate with shop management systems and digital vehicle inspection (DVI) platforms so that tire inspection results can be included directly in the shop’s existing inspection and documentation process.

Because the technology runs on standard smartphones, onboarding is straightforward and does not require additional hardware. Most shops can begin using the system quickly, and technician training is minimal since the app guides the user through the capture process during the inspection.

What is the pricing model, and who owns the shop’s data?

TireBuddy is offered as a monthly subscription, depending on how a shop wants to deploy it. Some shops use the ready-to-go TireBuddy app, while others work with our TireBuddy Toolkit, which is the SDK that lets software partners or larger groups integrate the tire inspection technology directly into their own apps and workflows.

When it comes to data, the shop owns it. The inspection results are instantly available and data can be shared with the systems they’re already using. Anyline simply provides the technology that captures and processes the measurement, we’re not taking ownership of that data.

Kallz AI

Company and Product Basics

  • Company name: Kallz AI
  • Product name: Kallz AI – AI Communication OS for Auto Repair Shops
  • Website: www.kallz.ai
  • Year founded: 2026
  • Is the product live in repair shops?: Yes (currently in beta)
  • Number of shops currently using it: We are currently working with a small group of early beta customers across the US and UK, with a mix of active users and shops onboarding.

About the Product

What specific shop problem does this solve, and which KPI does it impact most?

Auto repair shops miss a significant number of inbound calls due to technicians being busy or understaffed. Each missed call is a potentially lost job.

Kallz AI ensures every customer call is answered, appointments are captured, and follow-ups are handled automatically.

Primary KPI impact:

  • Increased car count
  • Higher booking conversion rate
  • Reduced missed revenue opportunities

What measurable results are current shops seeing?

While we are still early in deployment, initial observations show:

  • Recovery of missed calls that would otherwise go unanswered
  • Faster response times to customer inquiries
  • Improved consistency in handling bookings and follow-ups

We are currently working with beta shops to quantify exact revenue lift and conversion improvements.

How does the AI function within the product?

Kallz AI acts as an AI-powered service advisor for inbound communication.

It can:

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Capture customer intent (booking, inquiry, quote requests)
  • Schedule appointments or pass leads to the shop
  • Send SMS confirmations and follow-ups
  • Trigger alerts when a high-intent lead is not fully converted

The goal is to augment shop staff by handling repetitive communication tasks so they can focus on in-shop work.

What systems does it integrate with, and what does onboarding require?

Currently, it offers phone system integration via call forwarding and SMS communication workflows. We are working toward integrations with shop management systems (e.g., Tekmetric, Shopmonkey).

Onboarding requires the following:

  • Assigning a phone number
  • Setting business hours and services
  • Basic configuration (~15–30 minutes)

What is the pricing model, and who owns the data?

Kallz AI is offered as a subscription SaaS product with tiered pricing based on usage and features. Typical pricing ranges from ~$99 to $299 per month.

All customer data belongs to the shop. We prioritize data privacy and do not use customer data for external purposes.

Revmo AI

Company and Product Basics

  • Company name: Revmo AI
  • Website: Revmo.ai
  • Year founded: 2024
  • Is the product live in repair shops? Yes

About the Product

What specific shop problem does this product solve, and which KPI does it most impact?

Revmo solves the problem of missed and mishandled inbound calls and interactions. The constant phone interruptions that pull techs off the floor, create safety risks in the bay, and cost shops revenue. In quick lube and service environments, every unanswered call is a lost car count.

Primary KPI:

  • Car Count
    • Use Case Example: Stonebriar (Jiffy Lube) gained 60–90 additional oil changes per month per location and 2–3 extra services per day after deploying Revmo.

Secondary KPIs:

  • Tech Efficiency
    • By absorbing all inbound interactions, Revmo eliminates the stop-and-start interruptions that slow technicians. One location achieved 30 days without a safety incident after adoption.
  • Close Rate on Inbound Opportunities
    • Calls are answered 24/7 so no customer hits voicemail.
  • Labor Gross Profit
    • Staff time is reallocated from phones to higher-value service work shown by additional services performed throughout the day.

What measurable results are current shops seeing?

Car count increase and new customer conversion: Callers call repair shops for a reason, understand what those reasons are and what you need to communicate to get the customer to come in.

  • Stonebriar Auto Services / Jiffy Lube (128 Locations)
Metric Result
Inbound Calls Handled 132,758+ (and growing)
New Customers Delivered 1,803 new customer wins
New Customers per Location/Mo. 23 average
Attributed Revenue per Location $6,000/month (service within 10 days of call)
Call Handling Improvement 70% more accurate routing and resolution
Oil Changes per Location/Mo. 60–90 additional
Extra Services per Day 2–3 per location
Coupon Redemption Best rates since implementing Revmo

How does the AI function within the product?

Revmo operates as a 24/7 conversational AI agent that answers inbound phone calls, emails, and texts. It uses AI to understand and quantify why customers are reaching out, answer their questions about your business consistently, and, if applicable, offer them a coupon good for their next visit to bring their vehicle in for service.

Within an auto shop, the agent:

Behind the scenes, store teams can monitor key metrics and review call transfers in near real-time, ensuring quality and surfacing training needs.

  • Quantifies inbound call topics for you so you know who is calling and why.
  • Intelligently respond to any inquires; from store hours to services offered and pricing, Revmo gives a consistent and clear answer to customers questions and call topics.
  • Escalates calls you want to receive at your shop, to your shop.

What systems does it integrate with, and what does onboarding require?

Revmo integrates with a variety of systems including Auto Ops, Auto Vital, and ARM CRM. For enterprise rollouts, Revmo takes a hands-on partnership approach: refining greeting scripts, fine-tuning call categorization, and collaborating on ongoing optimization. Teams can make updates in minutes, not days or weeks, without long retraining cycles.

What is the pricing model, and who owns the shop’s data?

We have two tiers available for pricing. Based on the chosen plan, you’ll pay software and usage fee. Reach out to us and we’ll help you find the best plan for your business.

Our data usage policy is as follows: Revmo collects basic user and usage data (like account info, device data, and interaction data) to operate and improve its AI communication platform, but does not train LLM's. It uses this data to power features like automated calls, texts, and analytics, and may share it with service providers, but states it does not directly sell personal data. It also uses standard security practices and complies with regulations like CCPA and TCPA.
