September 28, 2018— Minnesota-based auto repair shop, Elysian Auto Service, located in Elysian, Minn. has pledged to take part in fundraising for breast cancer research, Faribault Daily News reports.
During October, the auto repair shop will provide customers with free brake pads or shoes and solely charge for the labor and additional parts with the repair, according to the Faribault Daily News. The shops will then donate 10 percent from those services to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.
According to the Faribault Daily News, 114 auto repair shops in 34 states raised $114,000. Over the past seven years, these shops have raised a total sum of $600,000.
