Christian Brothers Commerce City Employs Ukrainian Refugee

Oct. 27, 2022

A man in Colorado has found a team at Christian Brothers Commerce City after moving to the United States due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Oct. 27, 2022—A Christian Brothers location has offered employment and opportunity to a Ukrainian refugee, according to Franchising.com.

Christian Brothers Commerce City in Colorado is owned by Victor Robert. A man name Eugene interviewed at the shop, and Robert was moved by his story. Eugene worked as a mechanical engineer in Ukraine before the 2021 Russian invasion.

Eugene taught himself how to be a mechanic and moved his family to the United States in 2022. English is Eugene's second language, and this barrier was making it difficult for him to find employment. But he was dedicated, and found an interpreter for his Christian Brothers interview.

Victor Robert hired Eugene to join the team. Christian Brothers Commerce City Co-owner Dawn Robert said that providing Eugene with this employment opportunity is part of the overall mission of Christian Brothers and giving back to those in need.
