Michigan Tech U. Launches Women in Automotive Program

Oct. 24, 2016—Michigan Tech University recently launched its inaugural Women in Automotive Engineering program, a week-long initiative that invited high school-aged girls to get first-hand experience in the industry from female mentors. The program was sponsored by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

The university sought to change the fact that women only make up 7.3 percent of auto repair and maintenance employees.
